The Power of Poo

I'm very glad I didn't change out of my pajamas this morning, because you exploded in your diaper...or should I say through your diaper while you were eating.  This is definitely not the first time your diaper has not been sufficient in keeping your messes at bay.  However, it is the first time that your poo has gone through your diaper, your clothing, and both layers of Mommy's clothing too!  And everyone who has kids knows that once the stain is there, it's not going anywhere no matter what you try.  That's the power of poo. 

If any of you out there can prove me wrong, please, share your secret!  In the mean time, it's off to do another load of laundry...

Happy 4 Months!

Eleanore, you're growing so fast!  Happy four-month birthday to you!  It's funny because I can't believe that you're already four months old, but I can't remember what it was like without you...like you've been in our lives forever.  Despite you fighting your first cold (Mommy's fault for passing her germs to you) you managed to share a couple of smiles in your new outfit from Grandma.  :o)

You're talking a LOT these days too.  I think you like hearing the sound of your own voice because you'll talk to just about anyone that'll listen especially your stuffed animals.  I love hearing the gurgles and coos, but I think my favorites are the pterodactyl-like noise you make and, of course, your laugh.

You were sporting your Valentine's Day outfit today, and you looked so cute I had to take pictures of you.  So these are just for fun!  Your smiles and laughter brighten our lives...there's a reason Eleanore means "ray of sun." We love you, our little sunshine!

  

Quite the Pair

• The carpet
• Lots of blankets
• Mommy's lap

• The bathroom sink (thank you)
• The Moby wrap
• The couch (all of them)
• Daddy's face (hee hee)
• Aunt Melinda's scrap book (sorry!)
• Carter's store floor (thankfully no clothing was harmed)

Things Rockne has eaten:

• Most of his toys
• Five out of five of his beds
• The furniture
• The carpet
• A roll of stamps (THAT was expensive)
• Our rosebush (yes, the whole thing)
• The grill cover
• My pin cushion (thankfully all pins are accounted for)
• Way too many Hershey Kisses (took him to the vet to throw up)
• Ellie's socks (most have been salvaged)
• Ellie's spit up (gross but helpful!)

You two definitely make for some good story-telling!

Flip or Fluke?

You did it!  Great job Eleanore!  After lots of the very unpopular tummy time, you've learned how to flip yourself over!  Well, I'm not sure it's completely on purpose yet, but you're learning!  Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you.  You're growing up so fast!

Chit Chat

Eleanore, you've obviously been watching and listening to Mommy and Daddy talking to one another, chatting on Skype and on the phone.  You're catching on pretty quickly!  Here's a clip of one of our chats together.  Unfortunately Mommy didn't realize that the mirror behind you was catching all of her facial expressions, but your story is too cute not to share.

You're Three Months Old!

Today is your grandparents' 32nd anniversary, and your three-month birthday!   You are an absolute joy to be around, Eleanore Marie, and here are the pictures to prove it!
