Ellie's Musical Debut

We decided to have a little fun in the kitchen this morning.  It took you a few tries to figure out what to do with the pot and spoon (there's another video where you're picking up the pot and eating the spoon), but once you finally figured it out you were making beautiful music!

Your First Tooth!

This morning you grabbed my thumb, shoved it into your mouth, chomped down, and I felt it...your first tooth has broken through!  You can only see the ridge, but still, it's there.  Congratulations on a big milestone!  Unfortunately I don't think you share the excitement since you're fighting your first cold too, and all of this teething business isn't your favorite.  I hope it gets easier for you.  We love you Ellie!

4 Generations of Blaschke

Even though the trip was short and sweet, it was well worth it.  You got to meet your Great Bomaw and spend some quality time with her. 

You weren't feeling your best, but Bomaw could still see what a happy baby you are!  Your favorite place was on her living room floor showing her how you can roll over and scoot around.  All of the aunts that saw you said that they see your daddy in you.  I do too, but am secretly hoping that some of my traits show through soon too (besides those edible cheeks!).

Hopping Down to Bomaw's

You are becoming quite the traveler already Eleanore.  We took a trip down to Texas this week and literally hopped down there!  We took off in Kansas City, landed in Dallas.  Took off from Dallas, landed in Houston.  Took off from Houston, landed in Corpus Christi...all on the same plane!  Despite the terrible weather and bumpy ride, you were quite the trooper.

All that flying was well worth it - you got to meet your Great Bomaw!  You were both very excited to see one another.  Grandma couldn't wait to show off her first granddaughter to her mom!

Mommy got some pictures with the people you met, but not all of them.  You really enjoyed meeting your second cousin Sevene.  I think you two liked each other.  You had fun with your Great Aunt MaryJane, Great Aunt Terri, and second cousin Rese too.

Father Tom McGettrick made a special visit just to see you!  Your Great Aunt Terri wanted to send you home in style with these flashy sunglasses.  You weren't too sure about them on your eyes, but you liked wearing them on your head.  While you were at Bomaw's you also discovered a new tasty treat...your toes!

You also met your second cousin Rhea (who you just loved imitating!), your Great Uncle Condi, your Great Aunt Brenda, Great Uncle Bob and Great Uncle Carl...but Mommy forgot to get pictures with them!  You met quite a few of the Blaschke side while you were down there, but there are still a lot more where that came from.  :o)

Good Morning!

This is the beautiful smiling face your daddy and I get to wake up to every morning.  You generally entertain yourself in your crib for a few minutes, and then start to get louder to attract our attention.  Once you see our faces pop over the crib, your gorgeous grin appears and your legs start to wiggle like crazy.  It's my favorite time of the day!

Happy 1/2 Birthday Eleanore!

4-4-12

I can't believe you've already been in our lives for half a year!  You are 6 months old today, and looking beautiful as ever.  You are growing so fast!  You have already taught yourself how to roll from back to stomach, and stomach to back.  You are incredibly talented at rotating yourself around so that you can see everything and get to your toys.  You get frustrated, though, when you can't quite reach something you're interested in.  Crawling is definitely next on your list of things to do...I can see it in your eyes!  You smile all the time, and giggle when Daddy blows on your tummy or Mommy tries to eat your toes.  We can't wait to see what the next half of the year brings!

Mommy played an April Fool's trick on you...it's not Halloween!

I decided to dress you up in your cow suit anyway, compliments of Uncle Luke and Aunt Dayna.  You looked so cute!

My favorite was the profile shot.  I just love that little culi and tail sticking out the back!
